Organized Thoughts

The Lawn Mower
Spring. A time for renewal, rebirth, and "a breeze" that just about knocks you out of your seat. When everything is gone with the wind, and you find yourself caught up in end of the school year busyness, it can be hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. This is where I found myself recently- windblown and exhausted.

Life had begun to pile demand after demand upon my already full plate. Although I have always thought of my house as a restful and organized place, I begun to realize that it didn't encourage the peace I longed for anymore. Something was off, and it took me a stubbed toe and a scratched knee to figure out why: the dang lawn mower.

Lawnmower

Every time I tried to get out of my car, I would have to hold the door just right so as to not scratch the champagne-colored paint. Not only that, but I had to ease around the bulky lawn mower to reach my back door, sometimes suffering bumps and scrapes along the way. Once I realized that the dreaded lawn mower placement was more than inconvenient, I looked around and realized that the whole garage was a rag tag group of disorganized items. It was starting to become clear to me. The garage was the last thing I saw as I left to start my day, and the first thing I saw when I came home. It was not a welcoming sight.

All it took was a little love and organization to restore the sense of rest in my home. Of course life didn't stop heaping demands and struggles upon me, but I could breathe easier knowing that my home was an orderly place where I could relax. I wouldn't have to fight my way to the door anymore. The battle was won, and my lawn mower suffered the silent agony of defeat (in a back corner).

Organized Garage

Organization can reinvigorate any life situation. Order in a home or business can create a sense of stability and balance so that you don't feel like you're in a constant state of disarray. The little things like a misplaced sock or a disappearing file folder can cause unneeded stress in our lives. Take back your life. Move that lawn mower. You'll be glad you did.
